Dennis T. (Tim) Crowe, Jr., DVM, DACVS, DACVECC, FCCM
- Born and grew up in Wisconsin and Michigan and worked as a paperboy, in lawn maintenance, cowboy, wrangler, guide, herd-health manager, veterinary assistant, laboratory researcher, Boy Scout Jr assistant scoutmaster, Boy Scout camp bugler, entertainer
- Received Science Youth Award and Presented Original Research on Gastroenteritis in Dairy Calves at the Annual Convention of the American Veterinary Medical Association; the National Science Teachers Association and at the NASA Lewis Research Center.
- Graduated with honors - Iowa State University; was a student intern at the Stange Vet Teaching Hospital from Soph through Sr year.
- Completed a rotating internship - Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Fort Collins, CO.
- Completed a surgical residency - Ohio State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital and Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus Ohio, and Henry Ford Hospital, Department of Orthopedics.

- Original inventor and publisher on multiple procedures including continuous abdominal closure; nasal oxygen; nasotracheal oxygen; nasogastric tube decompression and feeding; esophagostomy; autotransfusion; abdominal counter-pressure; wound suction drains; Chinese finger trap; continuous Doppler monitoring, Diagnostic Peritoneal Lavage, Clamp & closure of elongated soft palate site, rapid thoracotomy for aortic cross-clamping and direct cardiac massage, use of a towel clamp used to secure ribs that then allow active chest expansion and then when followed by chest compression, increases the effectiveness of closed chest CPR

- Received training and certification as a NPQ Firefighter, National Registry - Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and Rescue Specialist by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, Dept. Homeland Security; Is a training officer and firefighter at Oconee County Fire Department and is a medical first responder as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.
- Recently was an Educational Program Specialist with the Institute for Health Care and Mass Destruction Defense and the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia; Helped in the editing and completion of the texts: Basic Disaster Life-Support and Advanced Disaster Life-Support for Veterinary Professionals.
- Recently received the President's Citation from the Society of Critical Care Medicine for his outstanding contributions in advancing medical education and his commitment to Critical Care.
- Is a father of 2 and grandfather of 6 and has been married to his best friend and sweetheart for 51 years; Is a member of Kairos Prison Ministeries and Saint James United Methodist Church and enjoys being on the praise team, singing and playing guitar and harmonica.
